Show starts at 10 AM
Eligibility - This show is open for anyone to enter. There is no membership required. As per NAMHSA rules, the show holder and anyone in their immediate family may not enter the show. A judge who customized or sculpted a model shall not judge that model in any class. Judges shall not compete in the division they are judging.
Space - Number of tables 24. I plan to have 2 judging tables set up for each division so there is plenty of space for entries.
Each entrant will be assigned a 6' table.
Divisions:
English Performance - open to all makes & sizes of models, shown in English tack
Western Performance - open to all makes & sizes of models, shown in Western tack
Other Performance - open to all makes & sizes of models, shown in appropriate tack for the class
Customized Halter - any plastic make of model horse that has been customized in any way (Breyer BOTW that have been CM are ok in this division)
Judging:
Please give the judges their space. Ask questions before the class or the show. All of the judges divisions are final. Classes may be split or combined. No unsportsmanlike behavior will be tolerated.
Judging criteria -
For Custom Halter Breed classes - Conformation, Breed Standards, Condition/Workmanship
For Workmanship classes - Prepping/sculpting Quality, Detail, Paint/Finish work
For Performance classes - Appropriate tack, Fit of tack, Presentation, Model appropriate for class.
Foals
May enter one breed and one workmanship class in Custom Halter division
Yearlings may enter Trail In Hand performance class (See Western Performance division class list)
Entry Limit
There is no entry limit per shower but there will be a 3 horse limit per performance class, and 4 horse limit per halter class. Please bring an ascending list of your models on the day of the show, or it may be emailed to me at any time at [email protected]. Please include your horse's name, leg tag number, and breed. We will be using the Region 1 Tag Saver Program. (See below for more info)
Leg Tags
Each shower must provide their own leg tags & model list. The Region 1 Tag Saver Program can be found here - http://region1tgnumbers.webs.com/
If you do not have a Region 1 number and need more information about leg tags please contact me.
Lunch
We will break for lunch for approximately 45-60 minutes around noon. Lunch will be provided to the judges. I can also do a pick up for those of you who would rather not leave the building. Please check out Graze's website for their menu of cold boxed lunches (sandwich, salad or chips)
Awards
Paper flats 1st-4th. NAN cards awarded to 1st & 2nd place equines. 9" rosettes for Champions & Reserves. Equine-themed candle to Grand & Reserve Champion from the CM divisions, created by Lara of TheEnchantedOakGrove. Rosette made of money for High Point Performance Horse in AR/CM and OF divisions.
Sponsorships are welcome and will entitle you to an ad in the show program.
Results will be provided via e-mail. If you would like it mailed to your home via post please provide a SASE. I will print out full results 1st-4th.
NAMHSA member show: All equines that place either 1st or 2nd in their class will be awarded a NAN card that will be good for NAN in 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018. Any equine that wins a NAN card may enter at NAN. For more information on this, please see their website at www.namhsa.org
Classes
All classes will be called simultaneously on separate tables per division. Table markers will indicate what table models should be placed on. Showers are responsible for getting their models on & off the table in a timely manner. Gate holds are allowed for tack changes up to 5 minutes per class. Please communicate with the judge if you will need a gate hold.
Raffle
This is something that is fun for everyone, so if you are so inclined to bring an item for the raffle, it will be displayed. I welcome all donations, and thank you! If you let me know ahead of time I can include a photo and a thank you to you on the website!
Advertising
Ads are welcome in the show program. Please contact me for rates.
Pre-entry
Deadline for pre entries is March 10. Entries will be taken day of show for an additional $5 fee (as space allows)
Selling
Selling is allowed at entrant tables
Proxy Showing
Proxies are welcome & must follow entry rules, they will not be allocated a table. Please state on your entry form who will be proxy showing your models.
Animals
No animals allowed unless certified service animals.
Children
Model shows are not a place for unattended children. Each shower knows if their children are able to be at the show. Please be considerate of others and keep in mind the liability risks. That said, we welcome youth showers!
